Sentinel is ReCore's first product line. It watches battery voltage and temperature so equipment does not get discovered dead, and it is currently in prototype and field-testing.

Working nowThe current Power Node prototype measures battery voltage and temperature, the two most direct indicators of whether a battery is healthy or heading for trouble. It samples continuously and reports every 15 minutes in the field, or as often as you configure it.

How the pieces fit together
Power Node
A small battery-powered sensor that attaches to the battery or equipment being watched. It reads voltage and temperature and transmits over LoRa, a long-range, low-power wireless protocol, so it works across pastures, equipment yards, and shops without Wi-Fi.
Sentinel Hub
Receives readings from one or more Power Nodes over LoRa. It runs a local dashboard on your own network and, when it has an internet connection, forwards the same readings to the ReCore cloud on your schedule.
Local Dashboard
A dashboard served directly from the Hub, viewable from a browser on your local network. It works whether or not the Hub has internet access.
ReCore Cloud
The Hub uploads telemetry through an HTTPS Cloud Function into Firestore. This path is working today; historical charts and alerting built on top of that data are planned.

The dashboard does not disappear when the internet does
The Sentinel Hub is built so that losing Wi-Fi or internet access does not mean losing visibility into your equipment. Sensor readings keep flowing over LoRa, and the local dashboard stays live on your network. When internet returns, the Hub catches the cloud up with buffered readings.

Current Status
Where the prototype stands today
Field-testingSentinel is currently a working prototype being tested on real equipment in real conditions. The full path from Power Node to LoRa to Hub to local dashboard to Firestore has been proven. Cloud-side features like historical charts, alerts, and account login are in active development.
